I'm being a bad hostess; totally not keeping up with the deliveries.

Bonobo got her package from Sulicat, but doesn't have photo capabilities on her blog, so this is the stuff she got. Not seen is a curry chickpea dry-ingredient pouch because she ate it immediately (but happily, the recipe is still there). Isn't the red pigeon Sulicat made awesome!

Dainty Kitty got her fantastic package from Firefly. By the way, Firefly's hosting her Boo-ty Swap again, this time is the third round! I'm in, I hope you sign up too!

So, we never did put up the list of the participants for this latest version...that's because many of you are repeaters, and a very few of you are new and it might be too easy to figure out who your partner is. So it's extra mysterious this way.

Anyway, this is just to remind everyone that August 12th is the last day to mail off your gift. If you need an extension, please e-mail us at laceknitta @ gmail . com (again, remove the spaces), and we'll let your partner know that there's a hiccup but they'll still be getting their item, or if you have your secret e-mail addy with which you've already been contacting them, please do that, but let us know too, just so we're aware of the situation.

What will be required:

You have to MAKE a softy. If you want to throw in a bonus purchased softy, that's your thing, but the main requirement is that you actually build something.

This softy should not be smaller than your fist (like, 3.5" tall) and should not be larger than a shoe box (12" tall). There's no cost requirement, but consider while you're creating your critter what you would want someone to send to you, and give likewise. But do remember that you will be mailing it to someone, so don't forget to make it light so it doesn't cost you a million dollars to send it.

Your item could be crocheted, knit, sewn, or been created by stabbing wool with mighty sharp needles. Or anything else you can think of that would make it fun for you and your recipient.
The THEME is GREEN! We want something that's constructed out of either something already in your stash, or something that's second-hand and recycled into something new, or all-natural sources. And if you want to include extra gifts, we encourage you to give something you purchased from a local business (support local industry and introduce someone new to an interesting local product).
Sign ups start today, June 25th, and close Wednesday, July 9th at 11:59 pm Mountain Standard Time; that being said, I won't be able to respond to your sign-up e-mails until July 4th as I'll be in the land of dial-up...I'll put some sort of out-of-office acknowledgment up if I can. We'll let you know who you're matched with by July 12th, and you'll have until August 12th to mail it off.
You don't need to have a blog to sign up, though it is preferred as it will be easier for your pal to get to know you and what you like.

And then Bookbonobo dropped by to see Lil Rose Thorn and I today and I got a photo of Alistaire P. Camel in the wild.

Hey everyone, I hope you're all well and having fun making your creations. I don't want to put any pressure on you but I just wanted to let you know that there are two weeks left to finish your softies.

If you're going to be late (because life happens, believe me, I know how much it can get in the way of crafting goodness), please be sure to let me know, as well as your partner, just so everyone knows what to expect.

And don't forget you don't have to have it sent until the 10th, but if it's that Monday, that's cool too. Just let your partner know when it's in the mail.

And if you want to throw some extra goodies in the package, that's always a lovely surprise, but isn't necessary. It's your thing, do what you want to do.

We had such a small, easy to handle number of people, so we decided to send out your assignments early. Please e-mail us when you get them, just so we know we didn't make any mistakes. And have fun, we can't wait to see what you guys produce for your partners.
