And then Bookbonobo dropped by to see Lil Rose Thorn and I today and I got a photo of Alistaire P. Camel in the wild.

2 Weeks Left

Hey everyone, I hope you're all well and having fun making your creations. I don't want to put any pressure on you but I just wanted to let you know that there are two weeks left to finish your softies.

If you're going to be late (because life happens, believe me, I know how much it can get in the way of crafting goodness), please be sure to let me know, as well as your partner, just so everyone knows what to expect.

And don't forget you don't have to have it sent until the 10th, but if it's that Monday, that's cool too. Just let your partner know when it's in the mail.

And if you want to throw some extra goodies in the package, that's always a lovely surprise, but isn't necessary. It's your thing, do what you want to do.

We had such a small, easy to handle number of people, so we decided to send out your assignments early. Please e-mail us when you get them, just so we know we didn't make any mistakes. And have fun, we can't wait to see what you guys produce for your partners.

Extension

There's a line about an Extension in the film Constantine, said by one of my favourite angry French actors.

I digress, I have decided an extension for sign-ups may be in order. Maybe someone will still want to play, they just haven't pulled up their nerve. So now you have until Saturday the 3rd.

What will be required:

• You have to MAKE a softy. If you want to throw in a bonus purchased softy, that's your thing, but the main requirement is that you actually build something.
• This softy should not be smaller than your fist (like, 3.5" tall) and should not be larger than a shoe box (12" tall). There's no cost requirement, but consider while you're creating your critter what you would want someone to send to you, and give likewise. But do remember that you will be mailing it to someone, so don't forget to make it light so it doesn't cost you a million dollars to send it.
• Your item could be crocheted, knit, sewn, or been created by stabbing wool with mighty sharp needles. Or anything else you can think of that would make it fun for you and your recipient.
• There's no theme, except for what your swap partner is interested in.
• Sign ups start Wednesday, January 17th, and close Wednesday, January 31st at 11:59 pm Mountain Standard Time. We'll let you know who you're matched with by February 10th (we both work a couple of jobs, so we're giving ourselves time to get this right), and you'll have until March 10th to mail it off.
• You don't need to have a blog to sign up, though it is preferred as it will be easier for your pal to get to know you and what you like.
